What Are Chakras?
The word chakra means “wheel” in Sanskrit, though these are not like any wheels we’ve ever seen. Chakra energy spins in a clockwise direction as it moves the energy of our body out into the field around us, and it spins counter clockwise to pull energy from our external world (and the people in it) into our body. It is the frequency state of our chakras that determines the direction of our energy will flow, as they either draw energy into our body or release it outward. There are 7 main energy centers in the body, known as chakras. Each chakra is located throughout our body so that it correlates to specific body ailment and physical dysfunctions; each energy center also houses our mental and emotional strengths. Each chakra has its own vibrational frequency that is depicted through a specific chakra color, and governs specific functions that help make you, well, human.
By aligning your chakras, you’ll feel more at peace with the world. There are literally hundreds of ways to support chakra alignment, but take a look at these five most common and most effective ways.
Every sense in your body plays a role on your chakras. Therefore, it doesn’t make sense to only focus on sight and hearing. Aromatherapy can do wonders in aligning and supporting your chakras. There are many different types of incense that can have an effect on the body. For instance, lavender and chamomile are very calming. You can use scents to transform bad energy into good energy to align your chakras.
